The Ferris Saxons avenged last year's loss to Skyline in the 4A state championship by beating the Spartans 24-16 Saturday night in the Tacoma Dome.
Ferris took a 24-0 lead after a pair of Jordan Tanani touchdowns and a Ben Goodwin to Riley Stockton score. The Saxons were able to hold off a fierce Skyline come back in the second half to hang on for the school's first-ever state football championship.
Congrats to the players, coaches, staff, cheerleaders, band members, parents and boosters!!!

Have you seen this crosswalk sign near the Maple Street Bridge?? Love that the City of Spokane says it has somehow been modified but it's not intentional. Okay, thanks for clearing that up.
