GIFT CARDS * BEST & WORST ONES

More and more people are turning to gift cards as their holiday gift of choice, and that definitely pleases shops: Consumer Reports estimates that a quarter of all gift cards go unredeemed for a year after purchase, and about 7 percent never get used at all.

If you do decide to give a gift card, know that some are better than others. Script Smart tracks gift card data, and gives tips on the best and worst to choose -- based on hidden fees, redemption policies, and replacement of lost or stolen gift cards.

Read more @ MSNBC.
